At Escatawpa Animal Clinic, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.
Escatawpa Animal Clinic was established by Dr. Michael McCoy in July 1977 as a mixed animal practice with emphasis on the farm, large animal medicine and surgery. The business first occupied a small rental space in the center of Escatawpa which served as a place to practice preventative medicine and treat small animals and a headquarters to dispatch a mobile veterinary unit to the farm for a large animal preventative medicine and treatment.
As the practice started to grow a house and lot was purchase at 7312 Highway 613. He refurbished and remodeled the building, fenced the back of the lot and moved the practice to that location. This enabled Dr. McCoy to offer more small animal services and allowed some accommodation for large animals to be hauled into the clinic for preventive medicine services. In 2003, due to further changes in veterinary medicine and more emphasis on small animal medicine, Dr. McCoy demolished the old clinic and built a new 3,500 square foot modern small animal clinic on the same lot. This allowed Escatawpa Animal Clinic to offer any more quality services for small animal medicine and surgery and to expand those services. Regular appointments are scheduled during clinic hours by calling the clinic. Dogs should be on a leash and cats in a carrier.
